Meet the New Volunteer Program Interns!

This festival season, our wonderful interns work with our entire NCBF team, primarily with our Volunteer Manager Tasha Stiger, as well as with the EEC in order to provide the best experience for our hard working volunteers. In addition, they assist in day-to day operations of the festival in the months leading up to and even after the festival. If you see them around this festival season, make sure to say “Hi!”

Hi everyone! My name is Pei Ivins. I am a senior at
American University majoring in psychology with a
double minor in sociology and management. I’m from
West Hartford, CT, but was born in China. At AU, I’m a
part of Alpha Phi Omega, the national service
fraternity, and I’m currently serving as the Service Vice
President. Outside of studying, I enjoy hiking, reading,
and trying new foods around DC.
I volunteered with the National Cherry Blossom
Festival in 2017 and I’m very excited to be a part of it
this year!

George Washington University

Hi All! My name is Quinn Sargent and I am a current
sophomore at GW! I live and grew up in Kennebunk,
ME and one fun (Maine) fact about me is that I am a
certified lobsterwomen! I have a strong passion for
music and film and hope to work the entertainment
field one day.
At home I have four dogs! Two St. Bernard’s and two
Australian Shepard’s. Another cool thing about me is
that I am building my own major at GW, which is based
in communications, business marketing and
management, and music and film. I have my own radio
show on campus, I play club field hockey, and I am a
sister of the Pi Beta Phi sorority at GW. My favorite
food is buffalo wings (with blue cheese), I have a really
bad coffee obsession, and I one day hope to go to
Australia and Ireland!
I am super excited to work with you all!
