Sponsored by The Ryuji Ueno Foundation, The 6821 Quintet has been specifically created for the National Cherry Blossom Festival this year!
The number “6821” represents the mileage between Japan and Washington, D.C. And to celebrate the Japanese/DC relationship, the public will be treated to Pop- Up Performances of a combination of both classical and well known songs throughout the area during the Festival!
There are FOUR performances as followings:
Performance I:
- National Cherry Blossom Festival Opening Ceremony

Performance II:
- DC City Center (Easter Sunday Performance)
- Date: March 27, 2016 (Sun)
- Time: 1:30PM ~ 2:30PM
- Location: DC City Center
Performance III:
- Union Station (Lunchtime Performance)
- Date: March 28, 2016 (Mon)
- Time: 12:00PM ~ 1:00PM
- Location: Union Station
Performance IV:
- Reagan National Airport (Evening Rush Hour Performance)
- Date: March 28, 2016 (Mon)
- Time: 4:00PM ~ 5:00PM
