Kite Festival has been cancelled and will not be rescheduled.  It was a sad day in the rain though a few kite fliers still made it out.

Time to Mascot Around!

Mascot

Mascots are so much fun!
Kids love them, adults love them

and we love them
too!

We are now actively seeking fun and enthusiastic mascots to represent the Festival spirit at Family Days (3/22 & 23).

Only two mascot positions are available so sign up before someone else does!  But be sure to check out the position description first.  The key to being an amazing mascot is an animated and fun-loving nature. Be ready to goof around and have some fun.

NCBF in the NEWS!

pressTopic of the Week!

The BIG topic of the week has been the peak bloom prediction: April 8-April 13!  Everyone is SO ready for warm weather and the blooms are perfectly timed for the Parade (April 12th).  The 2014 Press Conference at the Newseum was a huge success with turnouts from all the local media stations and around the world!

photo 4Dim Sum is for Making Friends!

In other news, new friends were made when a group of volunteers got together for a dim sum brunch.  Only one person in the group had been before!  It was a great time for those that did attend and some new friendships were born…both with volunteers and the love of dumplings for breakfast!
